Topic: Katrina Response
Having been a member of the National Guard and responding to disasters, I was amazed andt the response to Katrina. It was obvious that once it started, it was very coordinated. This kind of coordination does not happen over night. I think the only critical fault was that it was too maticulously managed. Mayor Nagin should have been a Rudy instead of complaining so much. I also fault the Governor of LA. Being in a State that plans for emergencies and National Guard reponse. We have plans for each section of the state for many diferent catastrophies and possible sincarios.
